2010 Australian BAKUC at SMASH!

For the first time in Australia, Hobbyco in conjunction with Bandai are holding the inaugural BAKUC (Bandai Action Kit Universal Cup) sanctioned event.

The competition will be held at this year's SMASH! event on August 7 2010 at Sydney Town Hall. This competition is open to everyone from beginners to the pro modelers! There will be a MAIN category and a SECONDARY category. The MAIN category, which has an Open Category (Modelers over 15) and a Junior Category (Modelers under 15), is for the more experienced modelers to test their skills against Australia's best. The SECONDARY category, on the other hand, is catered for beginner modelers still yet to venture into the complexities of remodeling "Modding" Gundams as well as diorama construction.

The 1st prize winners of the Main Category gets a sponsored round trip to Hong Kong in December to represent Australia at the 2010 BAKUC Finals along with a Trophy and Product Hamper from Bandai. For the Secondary Category, the prizes are Product Hampers from Bandai.
